About Thomas

Thomas has over 15 years of experience in political and online organizing, social media advocacy. His career includes the launch and growth of innovative platforms that have transformed digital engagement and communication.

In 2014, Thomas founded uCampaign, a platform that powered custom apps for over 50 organizations across 12 countries, including the Republican National Committee, the UK, Canadian, and Australian Conservative Parties, the National Rifle Association, Ted Cruz for President, Rand Paul for Senate, and Donald J. Trump for President.

In 2017, he launched RumbleUp, a groundbreaking peer-to-peer (P2P) messaging platform that allows clients to have 1-on-1 conversations at scale through text. RumbleUp has been used by over 3,000 clients, including state parties, national committees, local and congressional races, ballot initiatives, PACs, advocacy groups, non-profits, and for-profit companies.

In 2021, Thomas introduced Switchboard, an evolution in texting technology that enables users to build deeper relationships through SMS, MMS, and video texts.

Thomas has been recognized with the “40 under 40” award by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) for his leadership and innovation in the political business community. His work has been featured in outlets such as NPR, Axios, Reuters, USA Today, Campaigns & Elections, and industry podcasts. He has also spoken at events for the AAPC, CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association), and the Mobile Ecosystem Forum, and has been a panelist at numerous industry conferences.

Thomas is also known for authoring AmericanPapist, one of the most popular Catholic blogs in the world, which he wrote for seven years.
